Research Designer, Reality Lab Research
- Led the experience design for next generation AI wearables with advanced sensors beyond microphones and cameras, transforming the wearable from a complex research device to a developer-ready platform.
- Used rich context gathered from the wearables to power agents and transform human-AI interactions, shaping the role AI wearable constellations play in the company's vision for contextual AI.
- Delivered design principles for multimodal interactions that includes gaze, gesture, haptics, voice and more as the I/O channels, powering the interaction rules and UI components in the SDK of the AI wearable, and enabling internal teams to develop experience and research experiments much faster.
- Created shell experiences for future AR devices with nondeterministic inputs and outputs, guiding the model development for handling the spatial and temporal dimension of a spatial interface, and providing the AI modeling team a concrete interaction and experience target the team can work towards.
- Shaped direction of several HCI research projects by shifting the focus of interaction design from static menus to dynamic, context-aware, and intent-driven systems.
